Caught on Camera: Bangalore Techies Narrowly Escape Extortion Tactics
Bengaluru: three individuals who attempted to rob tech professionals traveling in a car were apprehended by the Police. The incident involved software engineer Charan Pal Singh and his colleagues, who were in a car on Sarjapur-Attibele Road on Sunday evening. Four people on another scooter intercepted them and demanded money, claiming that their bike had been damaged. Charan Pal Singh, who was in the car, denied any wrongdoing, stating that they hadn’t caused any accidents.
However, the alleged miscreants insisted on payment. When Singh didn’t comply, they attempted to puncture the car’s tires. Singh, still inside the car, asserted that they hadn’t caused any accidents and refused to pay. Despite the threat, the miscreants were unsuccessful in puncturing the car’s tires. They then resorted to damaging the car’s fuel pipes, claiming it would catch fire. Singh, remaining inside the vehicle, managed to drive away swiftly to the nearby police station.
The entire incident was captured on the car’s dashboard camera. Subsequently, the police conducted an inquiry and found that Charan Pal Singh had not caused any accidents. Following their investigation, the police successfully arrested the three individuals involved in the attempted robbery.
